Ingenious restoration of a fin de siècle house created a spacious and welcoming kitchen

By removing parts of a wall the kitchen could be stretched into the adjacent room, thus create more space and light. The window becomes almost a painting above a cozy place for reading, playing and relaxing.

Sometimes a full upper row of cabinetry can make an unpleasant compact impression. Here we made it lighter by using glass doors and placing them a bit higher than the rest.

Every customer has individual kitchen habits. Our carpentry makes bespoke drawer organisers of solid oak.

The corner under the window has been integrated with the paneling and wainscot walls to create a lovely place for the kids to hang. Notice how the shelves conveniently hide the plumbing coming down from upstairs.

One of the challenges to solve first is to find the proper alignment.

Storage above microwave and fridge. To the right are two pull-out cabinets.

“We just had not been able to find a good solution to our small, dark and oblong kitchen. K&R came up with the perfect solution. Especially, that little cozy corner for the kids makes us happy every day!”
