The old kitchen had odd corners, difficult angles and cabinets that were long overdue for replacement. So when the attic was rebuilt the owners wanted more space to cook; ceiling-high cabinets and yet, charming details such as the old-fashioned spice shelf.

As the family grew, the apartment grew. A bespoke stairway in smoked oak leads to the new extension. The handrail is made of brass and black oxidized metal. Inside the stairway we built in cabinets and drawers for extra storage.
